Bashful takes 50% stake in TMC

Creative agency Bashful have acquired a 50% stake of Tailor Maid Communications. As part of the acquisition, Tailor Maid Communications has undergone a rebrand, and will be known as TMC going forward. The agencies have also secured the first joint client, Laser Clinics Australia.

The agencies will work with the beauty brand on retail, public relations, influencer management and social creative services.

Bashful CEO, Simon Bookallil, said: “We are very excited to team up with TMC. They will join Bashful and Smile under the Bashful Group banner providing a PR extension to both Bashful and Smile. We will then work together to offer full service to all of our clients.”

The Bashful acquisition will allow TMC to offer greater strategy, design and social services, according to the announcement. TMC was founded in 2006 by Sally Brown and Chrissy Biasotto, who will remain as directors of the agency.

Biasotto added: “We have a history of working with the team at Bashful, we know each other’s
businesses and we’re a strong cultural fit. Through this partnership we will also be able to give our team further opportunity to widen their knowledge and experience, building the strength of our combined offer.

TMC has relocated to the new Bashful House offices, situated in Potts Point.

TMC’s client portfolio includes: Alias Mae, Cecilie Copenhagen, Charlotte Tilbury, Guess, Laser Clinics Australia, Magali Pascal, Marimekko, Morphe, Paula’s Choice, Steve Madden and more.
