Bastion Insights appoints new co-CEO, Gardiner steps aside

Bastion Insights, part of the Bastion Collective, has appointed Ali Dexter as co-CEO, leading the Melbourne office, with Peter Harris as co-CEO leading the Sydney office.

As part of the announcement, Dianne Gardiner is stepping aside from her CEO role to executive director.

Dexter joins Bastion Insights from T Garage, where she was director of insights and strategy for four years. Prior to that role, Dexter spent 12 years at Kantar.

Commenting on the appointments, Gardiner said: “I am so pleased to have Ali join the business. Her global research experience and focus on agile approaches, together with Peter, gives us an incredible leadership team to see Bastion Insights through to the next chapter.”

Dexter said: “I’m super excited to continue evolving Di’s vision – and to work in tandem with Pete. We’re committed to ensuring our clients can make informed, human-centric, impactful decisions at this dynamic time in our industry. As the lines between all areas of insight, marketing and communications increasingly blur, sharp thinking is the only way to bring the path forward into focus.”

Bastion Insights’ global CEO, Jack Watts, added: “Now, more than ever, our clients are seeking a data and insights-led approach to all areas of their business. Bringing Ali on board, alongside the recent expansion of our Insights offering in Sydney and LA, will allow us to offer our clients world-class insights with local implementation.”

Harris was appointed CEO in Sydney in July, leading the newly created office located in New South Wales. The appointments are effective immediately.

Bastion Insights was formerly known as Bastion Latitude.
