Bastion Reputation Management hires Hugh Tobin as group client director

Bastion Collective’s corporate communications business, Bastion Reputation Management, has hired Hugh Tobin as group client director.

Tobin joins Bastion Reputation Management

Tobin will work closely with head of client strategy, Jonathon Mahon, particularly in media and corporate communications to steer the firm’s corporate positioning practice area.

Previously, Tobin has worked in a variety of in-house roles including at Sensis, Victoria University and AUSVEG, specialising in agri-politics, public policy, education and digital marketing.

He also once ran his own business, HMT Communications, where he managed clients across tech, government and consumer industries.

Bastion Collective continues to grow locally and internationally

The news marks another move for Bastion Collective in a year where it has tried to capatlise on the opportunities that COVID-19 has presented, rather than hold position.

Recently the business rebranded Bastion China to Bastion Asia, hired Alex Carr as Bastion Banjo managing partner, appointed Jeremy Jenkinson as chief financial officer, purchased two US agencies, and made a raft of additional middle to senior management hires among other moves.
