Bauer Media launches podcasts for Woman’s Day and Take 5

Bauer Media has launched an additional two podcasts for publications Woman’s Day and Take 5.

Bauer Media has expanded its audio offering, building on the success of Gourmet Traveller’s “Set Menu” series’ with new podcasts from leading magazine brands Woman’s Day and Take 5.
In partnership with Whooshkaa, the podcasts will attract new audiences through exclusive content from the magazine brands. The Woman’s Day and Take 5 podcasts will connect to time-poor Australian women seeking entertainment and escape thanks to celebrity and real-life stories.

Paul Weaving, Head of Product Development at Bauer Media said “The podcasts will provide great content that our listeners are sure to love, extending the brand experience to new platforms”.

Woman’s Day’s podcast is titled “Uncensored”. Hosted by Lifestyle Director Kristie Lau, along with Editor in Chief Fiona Connolly and Associate Editor Phil Koch, the podcast explores the stories behind the week’s hottest stories, with listeners getting exclusive insight into how the team delivers the most sought after entertainment news.

Take 5 delves into new territory, delivering the magazine’s signature real life stories in podcast format. “Ripper Real Life” is narrated by Deputy Editor Kate Kirsten, and will share people’s real stories of hope, tragedy, finding love and overcoming the odds. Commentary by Editor Paul Merrill, Picture Editor Marei Bischarn and News and Features Editor Kim Bonnett, add authenticity and fun to this unique podcast series.

Bauer has partnered with Whooshkaa to provide podcast production, distribution, analytics and ad sales support. Whooshkaa’s CEO Rob Loewenthal, said “We’re thrilled to work with Bauer, bringing fans closer to their favourite publications through audio on demand content.”

Woman’s Day Uncensored and Take 5 Ripper Real Life weekly podcasts are available on iTunes and all regular platforms.
