BBC Global News, Podean and A Million Ads added to Mumbrella Audioland
Mumbrella Audioland, taking place online on October 13, has added senior leaders from BBC Global News, Podean and A Million Ads to the speaker lineup.
Alistair McEwan, senior vice president of commercial development at BBC Global News, will examine the role of advertising in podcasts.
In ‘An Audio Renaissance: Do Branded Podcasts Really Work?’, McEwan offers a deep dive into BBC Global News’ latest Audio:Activated study to reveal the must-know consumer insights and shares his experience gained and lessons learned from branded podcast campaigns.
In addition, international speaker Sam Crowther, executive creative director of A Million Ads, will explore the possibilities of audio on a physiological level.
From examining how we create and interpret sound at our evolutionary foundations, to discussing how audio can influence emotional memory, behaviour and brand selection, Crowther will tap into the medium’s primal power and shed light on how brands can harness these ‘exploits’ to create more effective digital media.
Meanwhile, Travis Johnson, global CEO at Amazon-focused consultancy Podean, will appear remotely from New York to explore the roles of voice, technology and AI within the audio space.
Offering both an Australian and global perspective, Johnson will discuss how voice is shaping and changing how we interact with hardware such as virtual assistants, and software like personalised music selections. You’ll also hear how brands are using voice, as well as how voice and technology can be better used to engage customers.
McEwan, Crowther and Johnson join the list of previously announced Mumbrella Audioland speakers, including founder and CEO of Veritonic Inc Scott Simonelli, Eardrum founder Ralph van Dijk, and The Studio at SCA’s National Head of Creativity Matt Dickson.
Mumbrella Audioland will take place online on October 13. Tickets are on sale now.
