BD Network hires new creative director

Communications agency BD Network has made a raft of senior appointments including David Ponce De Leon to the role of creative director.

The announcement:

Following international expansion earlier this year with the opening of an office in Melbourne, UK founded agency BD Network today announces a raft of key appointments, including their first local Creative Director.

David Ponce De Leon joins as Creative Director for BD Network Australia. He moves from George Patterson Y&R where he’s been consulting for the last 8 months. He started his career also at Patts, and has held positions at Leap, Leo Burnett and Lifelounge. His work has been recognized at Cannes, Clio, D&AD, New York Festivals and locally at AWARD and MADC, among others.

This announcement comes off the back of a number of key hires including the transfer of Richard Woods as Senior Account Director from the UK where he headed up the MARS Petcare business.

Victoria Tran moves from Sapient Nitro as Senior Account Manager to take up responsibility on the MARS account.

Patrick Dudek joined BD in June as digital producer and Lucy Plunkett remains as Client Services Director heading up account service, experiential and operations.

Jonny Clow, Managing Director at BD Network Australia, comments: “We are absolutely thrilled to have David on board, as not only does his work speak for itself but he shares the same values and passion that BD have for producing ground-breaking campaigns here in Australia and around the world.

With Richard coming over and the appointments of Victoria and Patrick, we feel we have the right talent to continue to grow an already strong client-centric agency and take it to the next level with truly powerful and effective Australian ideas. This is what BD’s history has been founded on and we do not intend to change that vision and ambition now.”
