Best Western Hotels focuses on staff stories in social push

Best Western Hotels & Resorts Australasia is sharing the life stories of its staff members as part of a social media push.

The stories, which are featured on the Best Western website, offer profiles of owners, operators and employees.

Vicki Rabjohns, one of Best Western’s employees.

Best Western’s new campaign, researched and written by Travel Trends director Martin Kelly, celebrates the people who work hard to keep the business running.

Angela Smith, Best Western’s senior marketing manager, said: “You can talk about brand values all you like but without our people putting in the hard work and offering genuine hospitality it’s just rhetoric.”

She added Best Western’s staff were what gave the business “an edge.”

Stories include Lyn Lewis, who runs Best Western Hamilton Lakeside Motel with her husband John, Vicki Rabjohns who works in Goulburn, and Karen Baldwin, the owner and operator of the Best Western Kennedy Drive at Tweed Heads.

Each story will be posted on the Best Western blog and distributed through Facebook and other social platforms.

“It’s exciting and shows we are a real community made up of an incredibly diverse group of people,” Smith said.
