Better Homes and Gardens rides MKR wave, but Nine wins the night

Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens was the most watched non-news program for Friday night, though Nine took out overall audience share.

Airing at 7:00pm the garden show featured My Kitchen Rules’ duo Tara and Adam as they cooked up their Valentine’s Day recipe, pulling in an average metro audience of 711,000, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Nine’s A Current Affair which also aired at 7:00pm averaged 487,00 viewers.

Ten’s The Living Room featuring Julia Morris, aired at 7:30pm and ran through Better Homes and Gardens, managing 413,000. While ABC’s a current affairs program 7.30 pulled 473,000 viewers.

In the 6:00pm news battle for the evening Seven managed 913,000 viewers and was the most watched program for the evening, ahead of Nine News’ 868,000. At 6:30pm Seven pulled 857,000 ahead of Nine’s 846,000.

Ten’s Family Feud airing at 6pm pulled 402,000 while The Project which aired at 6:30pm managed an average audience of 393,000.

In overall audience share, Nine achieved 19.0%, Seven 17.9%, ABC 13.6%, Ten 10.3% and SBS 5.8%.
