Better Homes and Gardens secures Seven’s Friday night win

Seven News, Better Homes and Gardens, and The Chase helped Seven to an easy Friday night win.

The most-watched program of the night was Seven News, capturing a metro audience of 1.012m ahead of Nine News’ 908,000, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Nationally, the shows had 1.556m and 913,000 viewers respectively.

Seven also had the most-watched entertainment program with Better Homes and Gardens reaching 627,000 metro viewers, slightly ahead of the second-most-watched entertainment show, Seven’s The Chase Australia, which had a metro audience of 622,000.

Better Homes and Gardens achieved 1.072m national viewers while The Chase Australia’s national audience was 1.025m.

In sport, Nine’s Friday Night NRL Live was watched by 364,000 metro viewers in Sydney and Brisbane, and 638,000 across Australia.

On Seven, the AFL clash between the Western Bulldogs and GWS attracted 435,000 metro viewers across Melbourne and Adelaide, and 576,000 viewers nationally.

ABC’s most-watched entertainment program was Prime Suspect 1973 at 482,000 metro viewers, while Ten’s most-watched show was lifestyle program The Living Room, which achieved 457,000 metro viewers.

Prime Suspect had 702,000 national viewers while The Living Room reached 645,000 national viewers.
