A comfortable Friday night win for Seven moved the main channel onto a 19.2% audience share for the week, just behind Nine with a 20% share, meaning the performance of news and the two movies tonight will decide who gets bragging rights in the metro markets for the week.

Better Homes & Gardens was the most-watched non-news show of Friday night with 724,000 viewers at 7pm, beating Nine’s A Current Affair in the timeslot which could only manage 573,000 viewers, according to OzTam overnight metro ratings

Seven News won the night with 890,000 at 6pm, ahead of Nine’s 780,000 and 765,000 at 6.30pm ahead of Nine’s 757,000.

Those numbers secured a 23% audience share for the channel ahead of Nine with 17% and Ten on 12.4%, which had The Living Room at 7.30pm as its best performer with 490,000 viewers.

Nine will be hoping Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban at 7pm can be enough to overpower The Amazing Spiderman and its sequel on Seven to cling on for the weekly win.
