BidPixel appoints Dave Granfield to chief executive officer
Facebook ad-buying agency BidPixel has appointed head of marketing, Dave Granfield, to lead the company.
The announcement:
Dave Granfield, brother of Matt Granfield (former CMO of Mantra group and now General Manager, Marketing and Communications for Brisbane Marketing) has worked for BidPixel in Australia and Hong Kong, in the role of Head of Marketing for the last two years in both advisory and then full-time roles.
With BidPixel incorporating into Australia at the start of the 2018/19 financial year, the appointment of Granfield in the CEO role is the ensure that the success seen from the Hong Kong entity is mirrored into Australia.
In the newly created role, Granfield will oversee the development of BidPixel’s growth and offerings for clients. Being a niche agency already focusing on media buying for just Facebook’s network, the shift under Granfield’s command is now to continue on with BidPixel’s 40% month on month growth by niching further into a few key Australian industries.
The appointment is immediate and will see Granfield report to Liam O’Brien, the group’s Managing Director.
O’Brien welcomed the promotion, describing Granfield as an “integral part of the leadership team” and “someone who can steer the Australian entity to the growth that we have come to expect”.
“His background in digital, coupled with his experience working with BidPixel and sister agency 7&7 Digital in Hong Kong gives Dave a unique understanding of the business and what is needed to take it to the next level here in Australia” O’Brien said.
