Big finish for Dancing With The Stars as Webber takes One to audience high

Seven’s series final of Dancing With The Stars finished strongly with nearly 1.5m viewers on Sunday night.

However, it was slightly down on last year’s series final of 1.6m.

Meanwhile the fading attractions of CSI were evident on Nine, where the 8.30pm show inherited an audience of nearly 1.6m from 60 Minutes but averaged just 930,000. Meanwhile, Ten’s Offspring, in the same timeslot, rated just over 1.1m.

Another star performer for Ten was sister digital sports channel One, which grabbed its biggest audience to date for its live coverage of the Belgian Grand Prix from 10pm to about midnight. Australian driver Mark Webber eventually took second place in an eventful race which, happily for One, remained unpredictable to the end.

The race averaged 365,000, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.
