Rhubarb&Custard appointed to lift Big W’s fashion credentials

Sydney-based specialist retail and digital agency Rhubarb&Custard has been appointed to help lift Big W’s fashion credentials over the next 12 months following a competitive four-way pitch.

The agency will deliver retail and digital creative services after winning part of the Big W business earlier this month.

GM of marketing for Big W, Alison Jones said in a statement: “We were impressed with the work the Rhubarb&Custard team presented, and we look forward to working with them to achieve our goals.”

Rhubarb&Custard’s other accounts include Rebel, Amart Sports, The Cheesecake Shop and Laubman&Pank. The agency has also worked on projects for PlayStation, Destination NSW and Unilever.

Founder and creative director Chris James said in a statement: “It’s been an amazing end to the year for Rhubarb&Custard, and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with the BIG W team. Our guys have worked exceptionally hard and we’re over the moon to be working with another iconic Australian brand and the country’s largest discount department store”.

The appointment is effective immediately.
