BINGE denies being caught in cyberhack: ‘No credit card details have been compromised’

Foxtel’s streaming platform BINGE was reportedly caught up in a widespread credential stuffing attack overnight, however a spokesperson from the company tells Mumbrella this isn’t the case.

As reported by numerous outlets, including Mumbrella, customers of a number of Australian companies have fallen victim to ‘credential stuffing’ attacks, including Event Cinemas, Dan Murphy’s, and Guzman Y Gomez. In credential stuffing attacks, cyber criminals used previously stolen passwords and attempt to use them to access online accounts held under the same name and make purchases.
