The Block and JonBenét Ramsey dominate as Nine wins the night
Nine’s fast-track broadcast of a documentary into the death of child beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey was the second-most watched non-news program of the evening, second only to Nine’s The Block.
Part one of The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey pulled in 1.013m metro viewers at 8:50pm last night and was the second-most watched show amongst viewers aged 18-49 and 25-54, and the third most-watched program amongst viewers aged 16-39.
The Block, which aired from 7:30pm, was the most-watched non-news show of Monday night, grabbing 1.019m metro viewers, easily out-rating Ten’s Australian Survivor, which in the same time slot was watched by 699,000.
Both shows beat Seven’s Zumbo’s Just Desserts which had a metro audience of 647,000. However, both Australian Survivor and Zumbo’s Just Desserts were out-rated by the ABC’s 7.30, which was watched by 743,000.
The Block was the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).
Nine won the night with an audience share of 25.7%, ahead of Seven’s share of 16.3%. Ten claimed third place with a share of 14.1% as the ABC managed a share of 13.4%.
Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention?, which aired at 9:00pm, saw 682,000 tune in.
On the ABC, Australian Story (8:00pm) pulled in 701,000, Four Corners (8:30pm) was watched by 604,000 and Media Watch (9:20pm) had an audience of 524,000.
In the news battleground, Seven News at 6:00pm was watched by 1.057m, slipping to 1.001m from 6:30pm, whereas Nine News at 6:00pm was watched by 965,000, growing to 973,000 from 6:30pm.
