BMW reappoints Vizeum to media

BMW logoBMW has reappointed incumbent media agency Vizeum to its account after a four-way pitch.

BMW had a long standing relationship with Mitchell & Partners and migrated to Vizeum in 2012 after the acquisition of the Mitchells Communications Group by Aegis. Aegis media agencies include Vizeum and Carat.

The decision follows a four-way media pitch which began in October and was managed from the UK by AuditStar.

“We respect and appreciate the efforts that were put in by the four pitching agencies. Vizeum proved to be the best option for BMW as they offered us a comprehensive and innovative response to our briefs and provided new ways of thinking that challenged us and gave us new directions and avenues for our business,” said GM of sales and marketing, Tom Noble.

The news comes as BMW gears up for an advertising blitz around its new compact car. Mumbrella reported earlier this week that The Australian would do a one-off Sunday edition sponsored exclusively by BMW. And the first day of the compact versions of The Age and the Sydney Morning herald will also be sponsored by BMW on Monday.
