Boffswana founder Robert Stock leaves to start content company Mohobo

Robert Stock starts Mohobo

The founder of Australian creative technology company Boffswanna has left to start a new business.

Robert Stock will be the principal at Mohobo, a new content company that will offer film as well as interactive and experiential work.

Mohobo carries the slogan ‘Compelling content for brands’.

Stock owned digital agency Sputnik before starting Boffswana in 2008 under the Omnilab umbrella. In August this year, post production giant Deluxe bought several of Omnilab’s post-production businesses; Iloura, Digital Pictures, Cornerpost, PAX Entertainment and Boffswana.

Stock told Mumbrella he saw Mohobo as more of a film specialist than Boffswana: “Before I started Sputnik I was producing TV commercials. One of the last jobs we did at Boffswana was a cinema commercial, but because we were a business alongside Omnilab’s other film assets, we didn’t cover it as much. Mohobo’s offer will extend into film as well as experiential and technology.”

The new company will be made up of a few key ex-Boffswana staffers joining Stock.

Stock’s departure also coincides with director Stephen Van Elst taking the role of ECD at Spinifex North America.
