Box Office: Deadpool & Wolverine makes it six weeks straight at #1
Deadpool & Wolverine has tipped over the $60 million mark in its sixth straight weekend at the top of the Australian box office.
The Marvel movie took in another $2.27 million this weekend, making its local takings a cool $61.71 million so far, according to Hoyts.
Second and third stayed the same too, with It Ends With Us adding another $1.3 million in its fourth week of release, moving its takings to $19.85 million, while Alien: Romulus took $1.23 million in its third week sitting in third – the film has brought in just over $8 million so far.
Fourth this weekend belongs to André Rieu’s 2024 Maastricht Concert: Power of Love which took in $653,000.
Channing Tatum’s psychological thriller, Blink Twice, took $504,000 during its second week, while Despicable Me 4 took another $276,000, with a total Australian box office of $42.72 million. Inside Out 2 added a further $256,000 to tip its box office over $55 million.
New release and reboot of the 1994 cult classic, The Crow, took $249,000 in its opening weekend, while Hindi smash Stree 2 took $234,00 in week three, and Blumhouse horror AfrAId took $202,000 in its opening weekend.
