Brig and Lehmo sign for another three years with Melbourne’s Gold104.3

The Australian Radio Network has renewed a contract with two of their top presenters.

The radio network as re-signed Melbourne breakfast team Brigitte ‘Brig’ Duclos and Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann for another three years.

The pair moved to Gold104.3fm at the beginning of the year from Mix101.1, replacing Grubby and Dee Dee who moved on.

The show had its best survey result in the most recent Nielsen survey, since starting at the station.

ARN’s national content director, Duncan Campbell said: ““This is a great signing for us. Brig and Lehmo have made GOLD104.3fm their home with some strong results this year highlighting once again that we made the right decision to move them earlier this year. They are a natural fit for the format and the station looks to 2013 with renewed confidence following a successful 2012 to date.”

Lehmo said of the signing: “Apart from my beloved Hawks losing to Sydney, 2012 has been a great year. I’m really excited about and looking forward to at least another three years of fun, laughter and early-morning mayhem with my old mate Brig … and another three flags for the Hawks would be nice too!”

Brig said: “I’m thrilled to be staying with GOLD104.3. While Lehmo drives me up the wall with his unnatural affection for Hawthorn, he and Joe Bovalino are a delight to work with. As a veteran of 20 years in the radio business I feel I fit right in with the ‘Classic Hits’ at GOLD104.3!”

Chrissie Swan replaced the duo’s Mix Breakfast slot.
