Radio ratings – Brisbane: 97.3FM regains lead
ARN station 97.3FM has regained the lead in the Brisbane radio market in both the Monday to Friday and full week ratings after falling behind rival B105 in the previous ratings survey on weekdays.
The station had a 12.9 share Monday to Sunday up by 1.1 share point, while on weekdays it was up 0.9 per cent to 12.9 per cent.
97.3FM’s ratings surge was helped by a strong performance for Drive Home With Campo which rose to number one with 14.5 per centshare.
Meanwhile, in the tight competitive FM market, Southern Cross Austereo’s B105 was down fractionally to 11.5 per cent, DMG’s Nova 106.9FM was up 0.6 share points to 12.5 per cent and SCA’s Triple M was up 1.1 to 11 per cent.
SCA’s chief content officer Guy Dobson told Mumbrella: “It’s a really tight market and it is going to be a long and protracted battle.”
Talkback station 4BC fell slightly to 6.5 per cent while the ABC’s 612 fell to 9.9.
The public broadcaster retained the number one slot in breakfast with Spencer Howson on a 13.2 per cent share.
Justin Case you can’t add up where is the missing 11% share? Radio 96Five is the only station missing!! Why aren’t you reporting on that??

Hi Justin Case, the “missing 11% share” you refer to above is NOT 96.5 but ALL Other AM and FM stations that do not get broken out in the survey. ‘Other’ is made up of commercial and ABC stations not included individually that broadcast into parts of the Brissy survey area e.g. the Gold Coast stations to the south, Sunshine Coast to to the north and Ipswich/Toowoomba to the west. 96.5 is a community station and they are not included individually but the listening gets collected and is ALSO included in the Other aggregated share. To suggest that 96.5 is the only station not listed and therefore makes up the 11% is MISLEADING in the extreme.
