Brisbane radio ratings: ARN’S 97.3 overtakes B105 for biggest share

ARN’s 97.3FM has jumped into the number one spot in Brisbane overtaking Southern Cross Austreo’s B105, according to latest Monday to Friday ratings from Nielsen.

The station sits ahead on 12.5% closely followed by B105 on 12.1% and Nova 106.9 on 11.5%.

Australian Radio Network’s national content director Duncan Campbell told Mumbrella the Brisbane win joins success in Adelaide with Mix 102.3 retaining its lead share in FM.

“We’ve had two great results – one in Adelaide with Mix which is again number one FM and number one FM in breakfast. The really significant result for us is the win by 97.3 in Brisbane. It’s the first time it’s been number one in the market. It’s a tight market and it’s a significant achievement for ARN. It’s the first time in at least five years ARN has been ahead of DMG and Austereo in FM in two markets.”

ABC612 increased its lead share in breakfast with 13.6%. B105 still leads in drive and evenings.
