Buckfield joins Media Watch
Lin Buckfield has been appointed executive producer of Media Watch, starting in late April.
Buckfield has won five Walkley Awards for stories produced for the ABC’s Four Corners, where she has worked at different times during the 2000s.
The appointment follows Jo Puccini’s departure from Media Watch, to become Lateline‘s supervising producer. Sally Virgoe will be the acting exec producer of Media Watch until Buckfield joins the team.
Buckfield is also known for her work on Seven and Nine, and prior to her career in journalism, she was the lead singer and guitarist for the 80s band Electric Pandas. The journalist/producer is currently a member of the band The Bully Girls.
This is probably a good time to remember one her biggest hits with Electric Pandas, “Big Girls”.
