Bulla Dairy Foods pulls ads from Kyle & Jackie O Show

Bulla Dairy Foods has become the latest advertiser to withdraw its support from 2Day FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show.

The company said in a statement that it was responding to “extensive consumer feedback” calling for it to withdraw from the show, following Kyle Sandilands inflammatory comments made in November.

Bulla had started advertising around the show earlier this month, to launch its first major in-store promotion for 2012 around the Bulla Splits ice cream brand.

The news comes the week after weight loss brand Jenny Craig pulled its support from the show.

Bulla boss Reg Weine said: “Our company listens carefully to our consumers and customers and we respect and value their comments, feedback and opinions. Our consumers and customers have voiced their concerns with the brand association, which they say is at odds with BullaDairy Foods’ family values of Trust and Teamwork, Communication, Growth and Family Life. We expect and require our broadcast partners to behave at all times in a manner that is consistent with our core values and in line with community expectations and standards.”

Bulla backs other Southern Cross Austereo properties – including 2Day FM’s Fifi and Jules – but the pull-out only concerns the Kyle & Jackie O Show, a Bulla spokesperson confirmed.
