Burrow shares CEO appointment to lead next phase of growth

Burrow has named Manuel Kambos as chief executive officer.

The announcement:

Burrow, Australia’s leading 24/7 social media community management agency, is pleased to announce the appointment of Manuel Kambos as chief executive officer.

With a career spanning executive leadership, strategy, and digital innovation, Kambos brings extensive experience scaling businesses and building high-performing teams. His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Burrow as the company continues to expand its offering and deepen its partnerships with Australia’s most prominent brands including Specsavers, Bunnings, Stockland and Monash University.

Kambos has held senior positions at Rakuten and NextRoll, with a proven track record in driving commercial growth and delivering client success.

“I’ve long admired Burrow’s role in mitigating risk for brands and ultimately keeping online communities safe,” said Manuel Kambos. “There’s a clear opportunity to build on that foundation – to scale the business, evolve our services, and push the boundaries of what 24/7 community management can deliver in terms of impact and value. I’m excited to lead the next phase.”

George Photios, co-founder of Burrow and managing director at G Squared, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Manny into the CEO role. His vision and leadership style align perfectly with where Burrow is headed. We’ve built strong momentum across the business, delivering immense value for our clients, some of whom we’ve worked with for over 10 years. The partnerships we’ve built with those brands and all our clients sit deep in the fabric of the agency; Manny is the ideal person to build on that foundation and move the business forward.”

The appointment comes at a time of continued investment in Burrow’s capabilities, its command centre in Sydney and the client experience, with the agency focused on expanding its market position as a category leader in around-the-clock community management, online risk mitigation, and social-first customer care.
