BWM Dentsu’s Andrew Henderson joins Bastion Banjo as client partner
Bastion Banjo has hired another BWM Dentsu exec, with Andrew Henderson appointed as a client partner at the creative and advertising agency.
Henderson held numerous senior roles at BWM Dentsu including group account director and client partner, and has also spent time at M&C Saatchi over the past 15 years.
His career began as a dispatch clerk for George Patterson Y&R, and has since included developing strategic creative and integrated communications across most verticals for clients such as Toyota, NBN Co, Westpac, Optus and Maserati.
Henderson’s appointment follows the recent appointment of former BWM Dentsu managing director Alex Carr as managing partner, with Bastion Banjo co-founder and managing partner, Andrew Varasdi, becoming executive chairman.
Carr said Henderson will fit seamlessly into the culture at Bastion Banjo.
“We’re really excited to have Andrew join the team. He is not only a brilliant suit. He is also a great down to earth bloke who has already seamlessly fit into the Banjo culture,” he said.
Henderson said he’s excited to work within a smaller, more closely curated network of clients.
“I’m thrilled to start the next chapter with the team at Banjo. It’s great to be back in a truly independent business,” he said.
“To be able to service clients properly with the skills in Banjo and the wider Collective without the BS that comes in a larger network. It’s just better for everyone.”
