BWM Melbourne wins pitch for The Salvation Army

BWM Melbourne gas won the Australian Southern Territory business for The Salvation Army.

The announcement:

BWM Melbourne has won the Australia Southern Territory business for one of the most well-known charities in the world – The Salvation Army.

The competitive pitch was the first win for BWM Melbourne since new Managing Director Mark Watkin took the helm last month.

“The Salvation Army works tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of so many Australians including just this week starting the Bushfire Appeal to help those affected by the bush fires in New South Wales,” Mark said.

“It’s an honour for our team to have the opportunity to work with such a well-loved organisation that is consistently lending a helping hand to those in need.”

The Salvation Army is a charity with a 125-year history in Australia and has brought BWM on-board to refresh its campaigns for The Red Shield Appeal and Christmas Appeal in 2014.

Major Neil Venables, Territorial Communications and Fundraising Secretary of The Salvation Army, said: “The Salvation Army is dedicated to making a difference but needs the support of the Australian community to continue its work. It’s important for us to communicate what we do and how we make a difference. BWM’s team showed a passion and depth of understanding for our mission. We’re excited to use their expertise and new ideas to get Australians talking.”

Paul Williams, Group CEO of BWM, said: “BWM’s momentum in Melbourne continues with team bringing on new business and launching top quality campaigns. This is a great start for Mark and we look forward to seeing the agency continue to power forward under his direction.”
