BWS to review its creative agency
Woolworths liquor chain BWS is to review its creative agency with the company calling for expressions of interest to be lodged by Monday.
The retail chain said incumbent agency GHO Sydney would also be allowed to pitch.
“It’s an exciting time for the brand and the right time to review our marketing activity. We look forward to the review and invite interested agencies including our incumbent agency GHO Sydney to pitch for the business,” said Andrew Hicks, general manager of marketing for the Woolworths Liquor Group.
“We have enjoyed a great relationship with GHO Sydney over many years and are proud of the work we’ve produced together. We have valued their enthusiasm and knowledge of the BWS brand and their commitment to its growth,” he said.
BWS is calling for expressions of interest to pitch from creative agencies with a demonstrated “ability to work in a fast paced retail environment”. The winner of the pitch will effectively find themselves put onto the lucrative Woolworths creative roster, potentially opening the door for other work with the major supermarket chain.

Hi Curious, A fair question. I’ve added the word “effectively” to try to make clearer that we mean the wider roster of the Woolworths group, rather than Woolworths the brand.
Cheers,
