Recruitment for Bush’s replacement is underway, with an announcement to be expected to be made in October.

Bush has been with the agency since 2009, where he joined as producer. Since then, he has been promoted several times over. He was promoted to his most recent role, senior vice president and managing director, in 2019.

On his departure, Bush said: “It’s been a wild ride these past 11 years at GPJ in A/NZ. I have had the pleasure of driving major changes to the agency, winning multiple AOY Awards and being personally recognised by CEO Magazine as Managing Director of the Year in 2019. The people I have worked for, with and in particular the clients who have bought into our ‘experience first’ mindset have been the biggest highlights. I leave the business in a very strong position but still see so much growth for both our clients and staff. It’s not goodbye just yet as we look to handover to a new MD in November.”

Bush has begun his new position working remotely, and plans to move to London in 2022.

GPJ’s CEO APAC Ben Taylor stated: “Caleb has led GPJ A/NZ through not only its biggest growth spurt but also through one of its most challenging periods due to the on-going pandemic. Despite this, the business is in a good place thanks in part to Caleb’s foresight and the company’s investment in digital, technology and strategic services over the last four years. Having promoted Caleb to take his new position I wish him all the very best – as this is an internal promotion, he won’t be far from our hearts and minds.”
