Call for entries: SXSW Film Fest and Conference

In its 18th year the South by Southwest Film Festival and Conferences is now calling for submissions, registrations and marketing strategies.

The event will run from 9 to 17 March, 2012 in Austin Texas.

Australia has been well represented in the past by both great films and fim practitioners at the market that represents all facets of filmmaking: drama, documentaries, shorts, experimental films and music videos.

In 2011, SXSW/film took on 300+ screenings (including 78 international films), reaching nearly 67,000 people. There was 66 world premieres of major feature films including Bridesmaids, Source Code, and Attack the Block.

The conference hosted 433 panelists across 105 sessions with guests like Katherine Hardwicke, Duncan Jones, PeeWee Herman, Michael Moore, Michel Gondry and Guillermo Del Toro.
