Carat promotes Gavin Ashcroft to Chief Strategy Officer

Carat has promoted Melbourne general manager Gavin Ashcroft to the role of chief strategy officer Carat Australia & New Zealand.

The announcement:

Carat has promoted Melbourne General Manager Gavin Ashcroft to the role of Chief Strategy Officer Carat Australia & New Zealand.

This promotion has been made following the appointment of Simon Ryan to the role of CEO, Carat Australia & New Zealand in September, and represents a move to a national leadership structure that will see the agency led by the disciplines of strategy, investment, digital and business development.

Gavin’s role is newly created, along with the roles of National Heads of Digital, Investment and Business Development which are being actively recruited.

Along with the new roles, the strong existing leadership team will continue, with Andrew Norris as MD and Angus Frazer as GM in Sydney, Alan Matthews as MD and Tom Martin as GM in Perth and Robert Harvey as MD in New Zealand.

Of the new appointment and structure, Carat’s CEO Simon Ryan said, “This promotion and new national structure are a nod to the strength of the individuals and our drive to continually improve the way we are working. This creates a national leadership team of ten senior media executives to direct our highly motivated business.”
