Carat wins $10m Beacon Lighting media account

Carat was been appointed as the media agency of record for Beacon Lighting, with billings in excess of $10m.

Beacon is looking to enhance its brand with Carat

Mumbrella understands incumbent OMD did not participate in the pitch process.

Carat said Beacon sought out a new agency partner “to provide leadership and innovation to navigate an increasingly challenging retail category”.

Prue Robinson, marketing director at Beacon Lighting said: “We felt great chemistry with the Carat team – their passion for working with our brand was obvious from the start. We look forward to exploring new ideas together to further enhance the Beacon brand.”

The account will be run out of Carart Melbourne, with managing director Joseph Pardillo saying it was an “exciting and proud” moment for the agency.

“It’s fantastic to be partnering with an iconic brand of Beacon’s calibre. They have a longstanding relationship with Australian consumers, one we look forward to helping develop further in this new digital retail economy,” he said.

The account will move across to Carat over the coming months.
