CarExpert fuels its sales team with new director hire
Emily Huhndorf joins CarExpert as NSW and QLD sales director – the company’s third key sales hire in six weeks.
Huhndorf has been the senior sales leader in NSW for CarsGuide over the last four years and a proven online automotive sales leader in the Sydney market. She will start with CarExpert in May.

Huhndorf will bring a wealth of experience to CarExpert.com.au and is the third key sales team appointment by CarExpert in the last six weeks as they continue to invest in the industry’s best talent to build the leading new car online automotive platform in Australia providing automotive clients and their advertising agencies with market leading customer service, industry expertise and outstanding results.
CarExpert publisher, Alborz Fallah was previously co-founder of Car Advice, with fellow CarExpert founder Anthony Crawford. The pair, along with presenter Paul Maric, sold the business to Nine Entertainment Co in 2018 for a reported $62 million, before leaving in 2019. Soon after the media company announced it would be merging Car Advice and Drive, shortly before CEO Andrew Beecher said he would be stepping down.
In February, CarExpert appointed Damon Rielly as its new chief executive officer.
Last year, Mathew McNay, current national sales director at Drive has moved across to CarExpert, following his former bosses. In his role, McNay reported to Brodie Taylor, Drive’s commercial director, having been at CarAdvice since 2015, joining as an account manager.

The hire will make Huhndorf the 25th full time employee. The company has plans to expand its staffing to more than 70 by the end of 2023.
