Carl Ratcliff steps down as CEO of One Green Bean

The CEO of the Havas-owned PR agency One Green Bean, Carl Ratcliff, has stepped down, citing a wish to pursue “his passion for strategic thinking”.

Taking Ratcliff’s CEO role is Claire Salvetti who has been the managing director at the agency for almost four years.

Ratcliff joined the PR agency in 2015 from his previous role as CEO of strategy-led agency Naked Communications. Before that, he was the managing director at ad agency BWM.

“I’m very excited about what lies ahead in respect of a new strategic project I’ll soon be able to discuss. But, I’m equally sad about leaving the Beans. I’ve learned so much, made friends with so many and understood the amazing impact of earned media as a channel.

“OGB is left in the superb hands of Claire Salvetti with an extraordinary team around her and a client portfolio that remains the envy of many,” Ratcliff said in a statement.

Havas upped its stake in One Green Bean when the Havas Group merged two of its advertising agencies to form Host/Havas in October last year.

Anthony Freedman, chairman of Havas Group Australia, said Salvetti has created a strong culture at the agency.

Salvetti: Stepping up

“Claire has been an exceptional Managing Director over the past three years, coaching the team to deliver award-winning and effective work whilst creating a strong and nurturing culture by inspiring people to be their best.

“I’d like to thank Carl for the commitment and passion he has given to One Green Bean in his role as CEO and wish him well for his future endeavours.”

Salvetti said she had learnt a lot from Ratcliff and noted she is looking forward to seeing what the agency will achieve in the future.

One Green Bean is one of Australia’s biggest consumer PR agencies, with clients including Commonwealth Bank, Coca-Cola, Nike, Tourism Australia, Lego and Holden.
