Carlton Dry’s Steven Seagal mini-film contest winner is… ‘Sheep Impact’

A competition organised by Carlton Dry where the winner’s short story is made into a mini-film starring Steven Seagal has led to the production of Sheep Impact, in which the martial arts legend and friend attempt to kill a sheep, evade a policeman and pursue an attractive young woman.

The launch of the trailer and ‘mini-blockbuster’ is the final instalment of the six month ‘Legends of the Dry’ campaign devised by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.

Behind-the-scenes footage can be viewed on the Carlton Dry Facebook page.

Vincent Ruiu, Carlton group marketing manager, said: “We wanted Aussies to submit their favourite, ‘over a beer’ stories. The funny, exciting stuff that gets better the more times you tell it.”

“Paul’s story definitely fits the bill. No matter how many times he tells it over a beer, it always gets a laugh. It was the first time Paul and his wife had ever gone overseas so we were stoked to have them win.”

When released, the trailer for the competition met with a mainly negative resposne on the Mumbrella comment thread.
