ABC head of fiction to increase drama production
The new role of head of fiction at ABC TV will be occupied by Carole Sklan, the current commissioning editor for drama.
“I am thrilled to be taking on this role at a time when additional Government funding means we can now increase the volume and diversity of Australian dramas and comedies on ABC TV,” said Sklan in a statement.
She previously worked as commissioning editor at SBS, where she was involved with East West 101, Saved, Carla Cametti PD, Wilfred and the features Mary & Max and Noise. Sklan also had roles at the Australian Film commission.
Sklan will be based in Melbourne.

Dear Ms.Sklan
I am a big fan of the Abc family fiction department. But if I may I would like to propose a suggestion. There was a show your fiction department used to show but stopped with no final word if cancellation. The show is called the legend of the seeker. Syfy dropped it about a year ago and your station stopped showing. It was never promoted so not my new of its existence but the show got 3.6 million views the first month. Is there any way this show can be re- aired by you
