American tech-driven car marketplace, Cars24 has launched in Australia, with a new campaign and the announcement of the platforms roster of agencies.

303 MullenLowe has been appointed as the creative agency, with Hatched appointed as the media agency, following a series of competitive pitches.

Also on the brand’s roster of agencies includes Milkman as social agency, Pitch Agency as SEO, and We Are Different as the PR agency.

Cars24 said it has ambitions of “becoming the country’s most convenient and trustworthy way to buy a used car”, and is “on a mission to disrupt Australia’s $55 billion used car category”.

Cars24 Australia’s chief customer officer, Erin Williamson, said: “Cars24 is Australia’s first 100% online used car buying experience where you can purchase a top quality car in under five minutes and have it delivered directly to your door.

“Our Australian launch represents an incredible opportunity to disrupt the used car category and change the consumer experience around buying a new used car.

“We are investing heavily in our Australian launch to drive sales, continue to build inventory and expand our offering nationwide.”

The launch is accompanied by a campaign, ‘That’s the Cars24 way’, which will see a heavy media presence to support the launch in eastern states across television, radio, OOH and digital, with a focus on the AFL and NRL finals series.

Williamson continued: “Our agency partners represent the best of the best. We’re confident the team of smart, talented and creative thinkers will no doubt deliver against our brand and sales objectives as we launch in Australia.”

The brand said that the launch into the Australian market comes following a US$200 million ($A271.7 million) capital raise.
