Case Study: JCDecaux and Killers live Twitter updates

JCDecaux and Roadshow Films will launch live Twitter updates to promote the film Killers.

The announcement:

JCDecaux in conjunction with Roadshow Films have launched a media first featuring live and immediate twitter updates on JCDecaux’s digital network at Southern Cross Station, Melbourne.

The campaign, which launched yesterday, Sunday 18th July, promotes ‘Killers’, a romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl.

Roadshow Films and JCDecaux are hoping to harness the social phenomenon of Twitter by weaving social media into the fabric of the Killers campaign. This has been achieved by showcasing live Tweets on the JCDecaux digital network, which has been set up to keep Ashton’s fans abreast of what he’s doing while he’s in Australia.

The digital network at Southern Cross Station includes of one large 4 x 3 metre screen plus six smaller screens. Approximately 1,000,000 passengers enter and exit Southern Cross Station each week.
