CBS’ Christian Williams named director of Ten Interactive
Ten has announced Christian Williams as its director of Ten Interactive.
Williams, who has worked at CBS Interactive as its Asia-Pacific programmatic trading manager, and will lead the 10 Interactive team in addition to his current role.
He is the latest recruit to join the newly formed Ten sales team, under chief sales officer, Rod Prosser.
The new team will operate in five divisions: Ten Effect, Ten Imagine, Ten Exchange and Ten Interactive. Tamar Hovagimian leads Ten Effect, Michael Stanford is the head of Ten Imagine, Grant Madigan runs Ten Exchange.
CBS was originally tasked with running Ten Interactive.
Williams new role is effective immediately. He will be responsible for digital sales revenue and the integration of CBS Interactive’s trading platform into Ten’s system.
“Establishing a strong, future-focused digital sales capability is crucial to the success of Network 10’s new advertising sales team. Fortunately for us, we will be leveraging the world-leading resources, systems and technology of CBS to deliver advertisers a first-class trading experience,” Prosser said.
“As someone very familiar with CBS’ sales systems and technology, Christian will make a fantastic addition to our team. With digital consumption and customer data availability increasing, Christian will be able to fast-track our digital capabilities, positioning us well for the future.”
Williams has sent the last four years at CBS Interactive, and prior to that worked in roles at video games and entertainment publisher, Showdown, and programmatic and technology platform, Xaxis.
“Ten has ambitious multi-platform content plans, opening up a lot of innovative and creative opportunities for its advertisers and under 50s audience,” Williams said.
“Having worked closely with Rod and the Network 10 team since CBS’ acquisition, I’ve seen their commitment to elevate their digital sales strategy as they look to bring their advertising sales capabilities in-house. I can’t wait to join the team and get straight into it.”
Plenty of outward facing PR around gearing up from a sales point of view, let’s not forget to sort out the technology – that seems to be killing the Ten Interactive (Ten Play) product currently.

CBS is slowly putting its people in place.
It was just over 12 months ago they acquired the embattled network and have given CEO Paul Anderson enough time to turn things around.
But instead quite the opposite!
They lost the Big Bash, trotted out a raft of dud shows and have slipped way behind in ratings and market share with abysmal ratings.
Is it time for a CBS executive to take control? Watch this space in the New Year with no Big Bash and no credible programming.

I wanted to see 10s rich history of content available. Neighbours from the beginning, E Street, Richmond Hill, Number 96 etc. Not just the soaps. 2018 Neighbours is pitiful. Also Young and Restless from the beginning would’ve been great. As it stands I have no reason to sign up, and I would have done in an instant if my soaps were there.

It just wouldn’t be the same if there was a Network 10 story on here without Leo laying in the boot. Surprised you haven’t given it to Natarsha Belling in the other story yet! You seem like a disgruntled ex-employee, old chap? If not, something about 10 has really upset you to the core. Whatever the case, try not to let it eat at you. Tomorrow is a new day!

Signed up to 10 All Acess because Young and the Restless disappeared off Peach. In all the media on the web it stated that it would show Y&R but it’s not there. Not sure if I will keep the subscription. How about letting viewers know what’s happened rather than it just disappearing!
