CBS Interactive Australia, the home of premium web content brands CNET Australia, GameSpot AU, ZDNet Australia and BNET Australia, announces today the appointment of Matthew Tibbles as Research and Insights Manager and Gina Lutzke as Victorian Sales Manager. These appointments demonstrate the digital media leader’s position and ambitions towards significant growth in 2011.

Matt joins CBS Interactive Australia (CBSi Australia) from News Digital Media where he most recently held the role of Strategic Insights Lead for Fox Interactive Media brands MySpace and IGN Entertainment. In his new role, Matt will be responsible for delivering site data, research and insights into CBSi Australia’s brands to support the company’s commercial and marketing activities. Matt will also be responsible for identifying emerging trends in the digital market, supporting and informing marketers, providing insight for various editorial teams and assisting in site development.

“We’d had our eye on Matt since working together on a recent industry-wide research project. When our research and insights role became available, he was naturally our first choice for the position,” said Jo Gaines, Commercial Director – Consumer at CBS Interactive Australia.  “We firmly believe in the power of content. With Matt on board we will be able to expand research into better understanding our audience and in turn give them more of the content they want.”

In addition to Matt’s appointment, CBSi Australia has been expanding its national sales reach, with the appointment of Gina Lutzke to the role of Victorian Sales Manager. This new role is CBSi Australia’s first move into having a dedicated Victorian-based resource to serve that state’s clients.  Gina’s shift to Melbourne follows three years at CBSi Australia’s Sydney office as a Senior Account Manager following her two years in San Francisco at the company’s international headquarters. During her time with CBSi she has worked with many high profile clients including Paramount Pictures, Sony Electronics, Rockstar Games, Samsung Electronics and RIM.

“Gina has been an asset to CBS Interactive, both locally and internationally, over the past few years and we’re convinced that her presence in the Victorian market will be a major asset in improving our market footprint and service to our Victorian clients,” said Jo Gaines.
