Central Intelligence rakes in nearly $5m but can’t topple Finding Dory

Central Intelligence and Steven Spielberg’s The BFG claimed second and third place in its opening weekend in the box office however the newbies couldn’t triumph the highly anticipated Finding Dory.

The start to the school holidays saw the sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, dominate the box office for the third week in a row netting $5.534m across 478 screens.

Central Intelligence, which stars funny man Kevin Hart and Dwanye Johnson, pulled in $4.801m while Disney’s The BFG made $2.672m across 433 screens.
