CEO magazine reveal finalists for 2014 Executive of the Year Awards

The CEO Magazine has revealed the finalists for the  2014 Executive of the Year Awards, including the finalists of the media executive of the year which include LinkedIn’s Tara Commerford, ARN’s Ciaran Davis, Leo Burnett Sydney’s Peter Bosilkovski and Carat’s Simon Ryan.

The CEO Magazine has revealed the finalists for the 2014 Executive of the Year Awards and of course, the coveted CEO of the Year category. The CEO of the Year winner will be announced at a Gala Awards evening, hosted by Eddie McGuire at Sydney’s Hilton Hotel, Grand Ballroom, on Thursday 27 November 2014.

The awards identify the achievements of aspiring and established leaders in 20 categories, with key categories including Managing Director of the Year, Chairperson of the Year, CFO of the Year, CIO of the Year, and CEO of the Year.

This year three new categories have been added to the program including Chief Information Officer, Hospitality and Tourism Executive of the Year, and Not For Profit Executive of the Year.

This year, 150 entries were received for the CEO of the Year category. The expert judging panel of highly regarded business professionals, including Bob Black, Managing Director Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, TNT; Nick Abboud, CEO and Managing Director, Dick Smith; Luisa Pastrello, General Manager Australia and New Zealand, Etihad Airways; John Karagounis, Managing Director and CEO, The CEO Circle; Chris Dutton, Founder and CEO, The CEO Magazine; and Daniel Di Loreto, Publishing Director, The CEO Magazine examined the business acumen of applicants to arrive at a shortlist.

Finalists were judged on their personal achievements, the contribution/difference the individual has made to the company where they work, financial highlights, and new initiatives that have been established.

The finalists in the 2014 CEO of the Year category are:

  • MARK TAYLOR CEO Taylor Construction
  • CIARAN DAVIS CEO Australian Radio Network
