CGU’s rescue of Tropfest and launch of Qantas Assure among brand case studies at Mumbrella Finance Marketing Summit

How to reinvent a brand, build a new one, reach a new fanbase, marry data and creativity, and where the financial services sector is spending their ad budgets are amongst the key topics to be addressed at Mumbrella Finance Summit next month.

Standard Media Index managing director, Jane Schulze, will outline the latest media investment trends within the sector and detail how much the sector is spending in digital media.

303 Mullen Lowe CEO, Nick Cleaver, who has worked on a raft of financial and bank campaigns, including Aussie, Challenger and the Federal Treasury, will reveal the secrets behind the complete strategic and creative reinvention of the Budget Direct brand.

IAG Commercial Insurance’s senior manager brand, sponsorships and events, Julia Nelson, will discuss why CGU stepped in to save Tropfest, the world’s biggest short film festival, and how it connected the insurance brand with a new fan base.

Guests will find out how Qantas launched into the cluttered health insurance market to bring Qantas Assure Health Insurance to life with the help of Christopher Walken, in a presentation by agency, With Collective CEO, Justin Hind.

Meanwhile, The Hallway, which works with clients including Bupa, Bank of Queensland and Insurance Line, will guide marketers through the challenges and opportunities in creating effective communications in the programmatic arena, in a talk by the ad agency’s brand and digital strategist, Pascal Winkler.

Other sessions include how artificial intelligence data analysis methods are now being used by marketers to create better outcomes in the banking and insurance industries, connecting with millennials, mobile commerce and reputation management.

The Mumbrella Finance Marketing Summit takes place at Sydney’s Amora Jamison Hotel, on September 22. It joins Mumbrella’s series of summits covering travel marketing, sports marketing and retail marketing.
