Change.org appoints former Camp Quality comms manager as director of communications
Online petition platform Change.org has appointed Gary Nunn as director of communications, bringing the platform’s total Australian head count to eight.
Nunn joins the organisation after three and a half years as the PR and communications manager for cancer charity Camp Quality. Previously in the UK, Nunn was communications manager at Comic Relief and communications officer at gay equality campaigning group Stonewall and press officer at children’s charity Barnardo’s.
He also writes a regular column about language for the UK Guardian.
Nathan Elvery, interim-country director of Change.org Australia, said in a statement: “We’re incredibly excited to bring Gary on board to help build on our platform’s presence in Australia – and grow the impact our 3 million users are having every day.”
Nunn will be working with newsroom in an effort to get the platform embedded into more stories while finding creative ways to tell the story of the platform.
