Charity netball tournament Ricochet Ball returns in 2024

The entertainment industry’s charity netball tournament, Ricochet Ball, is returning in 2024 in Sydney.

The announcement:

The charity netball tournament for the entertainment industry, Ricochet Ball, today announces the date for their 2024 event. Ricochet Ball 2024 will take place on Friday, June 14th at Perry Park Recreation Centre in Alexandria. Founded by songwriter and DJ KLP and music publicist Anna Fitzgerald, Ricochet Ball has raised over $75,000 for charity in the three years it has been held.

“We are so pumped to announce Ricochet Ball will happen again this year!” says KLP. “After the last event in November 2022 we had so many teams contact us keen to take part again. We hope to raise over $25,000 this year which will take our total amount raised to over $100,000 since we launched back in 2018.”

Anna Fitzgerald adds, “Ricochet Ball is always such a fun day out for the music industry and a great way to raise money for a range of worthy charities. The standard of netball always blows my mind. This year we need a team to beat iHeartRadio who have won the past two tournaments – so everyone needs to get training now!”

Ricochet Ball is a drug and alcohol-free way for the music industry to get together and play sport while raising money for charity. Teams who played in previous events have included Spotify, Sony Music, SCA, iHeartRadio, TMRW Music, Warner Music and more. The biggest fundraising team of the 2022 event was Sweat It Out who raised money for The Butterfly Foundation, closely followed by TMRW Music who raised money for the Yothu Yindi Foundation. Some names in attendance at that event included Matt Okine, Thandi Phoenix, Bryce Mills, Veronica Milsom, Abby Butler, Reigan, Urthboy and Mike E & Emma.
