Chaser’s Election Desk debuts with 783,000 as Masterchef wins the night
As the Federal election campaign rolls on, the premiere of The Chaser’s Election Desk at 9:00pm last night drew a metro audience of 783 000 viewers to the ABC.
The result came on a night when Masterchef Australia once again was the most watched non-news program last night, pulling in 1.049m viewers at 7:30pm.
In the same time slot David Attenborough’s The Hunt drew 715,000 beating Seven’s Highway patrol which had 594,000. Masterchef was well up on last week when it went head to head with the NRL State of Origin.
The result came despite Home and Away achieving third amongst the entertainment programs at 781,000 viewers at 7:00pm, while Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell drew 726,000 at 8.30pm.
