Chinese social media agency UMS launches in Australia

A Chinese social media agency, United Media Solution (UMS), has launched in Australia to help local companies which are looking to target the Chinese market.

As part of the new Australian office, UMS has appointed Jo Ruo as its business development manager.

Ruo will be responsible for targeting Australian companies looking to focus on the Chinese market.

Ruo will be based in UMS’ new Melbourne office and will work with Eric Yu in the new Australian operation.

Previously, Ruo worked for Dairy Australia as an international market coordinator focusing on the Chinese market.

Jessica Miao, CEO at UMS, said in a statement: “Jo is a rare find, in that she is a highly capable sales and marketing professional with a strong business background and a solid understanding of both the Australian and China markets.

“We are very excited to welcome Jo to the UMS team as our first Australian hire. Working alongside Eric Yu, we are confident these two exceptional individuals will be a driving force behind the agency’s growth as we help Australian businesses to connect with Chinese consumers.”

UMS is currently working with clients including Air New Zealand, Prolife Foods, Education New Zealand, Tourism New Zealand, THL, PCNZ, Skycity, CTS Tours, Auckland University of Technology and Vodafone.
