Gardner co-founded Magnus back in 2009, having been there for over 12 years according to his LinkedIn. Magnus merged with Citadel in 2015.

On the news, Gardner said: “Citadel-Magnus has the unique proposition of delivering a consistently high level of service to its clients, both nationally and internationally. The key to achieving this and a signature of our success has been a dedicated ‘one Team, two offices’ philosophy. The second pillar of success has been a relentless focus on living and breathing our values, being Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence and Community, creating a strong and supportive culture within.”

Weir joined Citadel-Magnus in 2015 as director – investor relations and corporate communications, becoming a partner in 2016.

Weir added: “It will be very much business as usual. I’ve been shoulder-to-shoulder with John in the Perth office for the past six years, so I don’t envisage any radical change. I want to continue to build Perth as a key part of the successful national business we have all created, and ensure we maintain the service and culture that has helped deliver that success.”

Gardner will spend more time with his family, with no announcements yet to be made about his next moves. Gardner will retain a small stake in Citadel-Magnus.
