Clemenger appoints Kurt Viertel as CHE Brisbane boss
Kurt Viertel – previously boss of Leo Burnett Singapore – has been appointed as managing director of ad agency Clemenger Harvie Edge Brisbane.
Viertel, who is originally from Cairns, said: “The opportunity to come home and lead a Clemenger agency was too good to resist. I’m looking forward to enhancing the creative product and discipline expertise of the Agency.”
In recent months CHE Brisbane has won Energex and Tourism Queensland.
Ron Barnacle, chairman of the Brisbane office, has been acting MD for the last few months following the departure of Stephen Forth and client services head Andrew Lethlean in March.
Tim Burrowes founded Mumbrella in 2008. He worked on Mumbrella until 2021. At various points he was editor, content director and editor-at-large.
