Click Frenzy appoints WPP agencies Mindshare and Wunderman Thompson

Following competitive pitches, WPP agencies Mindshare and Wunderman Thompson have both been appointed by Click Frenzy, to handle the media and creative agencies respectively.

Click Frenzy is an online shopping sale event, hosting participating retailers’ best deals in one place on the Click Frenzy site.

Mindshare will take on online and offline duties for e-commerce business, with Wunderman Thompson winning the creative account, which will include brand strategy and architecture, as well as ongoing communications work.

Launched in 2012 by CEO Grant Arnott, the aim of Click Frenzy was to create a centralised online shopping experience for Australians, inspired by the US shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

“Mindshare captured our imagination with their strategic vision to amplify the reach and effectiveness of Click Frenzy’s national media buying efforts,” said Click Frenzy marketing manager, Mark Salzmann.

Recently appointed Wunderman Thompson Melbourne managing director, Nick Muncaster said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Click Frenzy, an ambitious Australian eCommerce brand. Click Frenzy hosts four “mega sales events” per year, bringing together retailers in the fashion, travel, electronics and home décor sectors. The next online event is in July for the ‘Click Frenzy Julove’.

The win is the latest in stream of new business wins for Mindshare including Craveable Brands, Foxtel Streamotion and University of Melbourne.

Wunderman Thompson also recently announced the the formal integration of Wunderman Thompson Commerce to its business, with the business now operating out of the Melbourne office of WT Australia.
