Close game for Seven and Nine on Tuesday night

Seven and Nine networks had a close race on Tuesday night. However, the former had the upper hand and won the overall share.

Seven network secured a 26.9% share, while Nine had 26.2%. However, the top-rated primary channel was Nine (18.5%), and the top-rated multichannel was 7Two (3.8%).

The Chase Australia on Seven topped entertainment with 565,000 metro viewers, followed by MasterChef Australia on Ten with 501,000 metro viewers.

Home and Away for Seven attracted 481,000 metro viewers, while Nine’s new season of Parental Guidance, launched last week, aired to 420,000 metro viewers.

The #1 metro program of the night was Seven News with 991,000 metro viewers, which also topped all three key advertising demos.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 6 June, Seven News was the #1 program with a Total TV audience of 1.583 million, with a 3% uplift and 49,000 on national BVOD.

Seven’s The Rookie had the biggest uplift of 43%, with a total audience of 470,000 and BVOD audience of 52,000.
